After a very competitive competition we are very excited to announce the winners of the Carbon Parlour Remix Competition. Your challenge was to remix the track ‘& Relax’ in any sub genre of house, and oh boy did we receive some awesome entries. The judging was so incredibly hard with fourth place being the toughest, we had to create an honorable mentions list for the rest of you.

The judging took place with Carbon Parlour in the hot seat and we looked for quality sounding productions that would 100% represent the Bone Idle ethos and show us some creativity from the remix pack provided. The final four are worthy of a huge congratulations for their amazing entries. Lets reveal those winners.

Winner

Absolute quality production on the finished sound, what won us over on this remix was the creative use of the vocals, vocoded re-recorded and filtered to produce a really unique sound. This totally captures the feel of ‘Relax your Mind’ – Congratulations Keyone!!

Runner Up

Zoomtronic Remix (soundcloud.com/zoomtronic)
Zoomtronic pounced onto second place with a massive frenetic remix, the pace on this one is immense and again the winning component came from the overall finished sound and the use of vocal chopped up and turned into a lead line.

3rd Place

Scutheotaku Remix (soundcloud.com/scutheotaku)
Anyone who can make a whole remix with the same lead line without making us bored sure knows what they are doing, there’s something amazingly wonderful about the filtered lead that just works perfectly with the repeating vocal. Production again is spot on with a solid mix.

4th Place

Conky Remix (soundcloud.com/c-o-n-k-y)
Conky pounced on 4th place with a last minute entry. This is a massive drum fest of a track, old skool drums pound away at the backing track and those vocals have been treated with some lovely delay, chuck in a tiny bit of funk and you have this beauty.
